AC/DC supplies carry multiple certifications

The TDK-Lambda GXE600 line of programmable AC/DC power supplies provides 600 W of output power for medical, industrial, and test applications. Certified to medical IEC 60601-1 and industrial IEC 60950-1 and IEC 62368-1 standards, as well as emission and immunity standards, the convection-cooled supplies accept an 85 VAC to 265 VAC input and furnish a 24 VDC or 48 VDC output.

Output voltage is programmable via an RS-485 interface using the Modbus RTU protocol or an external 0 V to 6 V analog signal for constant-voltage and constant-current operation. The programming range is 20% to 120% for voltage and 20% to 100% for current. Parameters for fault programming, such as protection level and recovery characteristics, are adjustable, as are voltage and current slew rates.

GXE600 power supplies can start up at -40°C and operate in ambient temperatures ranging from -20°C to +70°C, derating linearly to 50% load above 50°C. Additional derating or external cooling is required for operation below 170 VAC input at full load. Standard features include a 5 V, 1 A standby voltage, isolated DC good and AC fail signals, remote on/off, and paralleling capability for up to five units. Overall dimensions are 127 mm wide, 41 mm (1U) high, and 254 mm long.

Sold through TDK-Lambda’s distributor network, the GXE600 power supplies cost about $535 each in lots of 10 units.
